While in San Francisco for AES ’10, I took a drive over the Golden Gate Bridge, through Marin, and up to Santa Rosa – home of the Mothership (the Alembic Factory).

I was able to meet most of the people that are crafting the guitar, which was very important to me.  I was also able to hold the instrument and decide on the final locations of all the controls and jacks, which is an opportunity the vast majority of customers don’t get.

They are a great family of artisans, and it was a pleasure to meet them.
